Itinerary for a 5-Day South Morocco Tour from Marrakech

We will plan a great Marrakech tour for you, picking you up from your hotel and taking you around Morocco's picturesque and cultural landmarks. This private Marrakech tour provide a more personalised experience at a time to suit you.

Marrakech - Tizi n'Tichka - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley/Gorges Day 1

We will pick you up at 8:00 a.m. from your Riad/Hotel or any location in Marrakech and drive you to Dades Gorge via the High Atlas Mountains, Tizi-n-Tichka pass, and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue on to Boumalne Dades, Kelaa Mgouna, and Ouarzazate. The mountain shuts up on both sides of you shortly after you leave Boumalne Dades, before opening up again and immersing you in a world of natural beauty where nature enthusiasts will undoubtedly be taken aback by the colors, landscape, and natural wonders of Dades Gorge. In the Hotel/Riad for dinner and the night.

Day 2: Merzouga - Dades Gorges

After breakfast in the riad, we'll drive down the valley to witness the "monkey toes," a rock formation. We'll have panoramic views of the old mud Berber cottages overlooking the valley as we leave the Dades valley for Tinghir and the Todra valley. When you arrive in the Gorge, you'll stroll beneath a 300-meter-high red cliff, where many rock climbers come to practice their favorite sport. We'll continue on to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch before departing for Merzouga hamlet.

Merzouga and the Camel Trek on Day 3

We get up early to begin our trip, walking to the village of Khamlia to listen to live Gnawa music, then continuing on a road that leads us back to the nomads, where we will drink a hot t-shirt and discover a different way of life under the Berber tents. It's time to return to the village for a rupa lunch. We ride camels into the sand dunes in the afternoon. We'll sleep in a bivouac for the night.

Day 4: Camel Trekking Back to Merzouga - Berber Villages - Ouarzazate:

Get up early in the morning to catch a glimpse of the desert dawn. Return to the hotel by camel. After breakfast, go to Rissani, Italy. Then continue on to Alnif, Tazarine's oasis, and N'Kob. Lunch is served on the spot. Continue on to Agdz, a Berber settlement in the Draa Valley. Donations to a hotel in Agdz's palm grove for the night.

Day 5: Back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and Berber Villages

We will visit Taourirt Kasbah and film studios after breakfast in your hotel, then begin our journey back to Marrakech via Tizi n'Tichka, stopping along the way to enjoy the spectacular views of these mountains and authentic Berber villages, lunch at a restaurant in the Atlas Mountains, and then continue to Marrakech.
