7-Day Family Tour from Casablanca Itinerary

Casablanca - Rabat - Volubilis - Meknes on Day 1

On the first day of your Morocco family vacation, we pick you up from your hotel and take you to the best sights in Casablanca, including the Hassan II mosque. Then we travel to Rabat, Morocco's capital. We continue to Volubilis after the guided excursion, where you may see the main sights of the Roman ruins. We travel to Meknes, the birthplace of Moulay Ismail's first Arab monarchy. We go to the Madrasa Bou Inania and then to Bab Mansour, which is the entrance to Moulay Ismail Palace. Overnight stay in a nearby hotel.

Day 2: Meknes - Fes (overnight)

Today we continue our Morocco family trip with a visit to Meknes' medina, followed by a transfer to Fes, Morocco's most important cultural city. Afternoon program is free. Overnight stay in a riad in the area.

Day 3: Visit the medina of Fes with a local guide.

After breakfast, you will go to Morocco's oldest city. Enjoy a guided tour of its lanes and a visit to the Royal Palace entrance, followed by a visit to Al Qaraouine University, the world's oldest university. We also visit well-known tanneries and the Attarine Museum. Our tour includes a visit to Moulay Idriss' mausoleum as well as a stop at a tile cooperative. Overnight stay in a riad in the area.

Day 4: Fes, Ifrane, Azrou, Midelt, Merzouga, and a Sahara desert tour

Our Morocco family vacation continues after breakfast as we depart Fes and travel to Ifrane, also known as Morocco's Switzerland. Before arriving in Midelt for lunch, we will visit the Cedar Forest where you will have the opportunity to feed local monkeys. We'll then continue on to Merzouga via the Ziz Valley on our route to Erfoud. Spend a night in a desert camp with dinner and Nomad music, then take a camel ride across the dunes.

Merzouga camel trip day 5: Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Our camel guide will wake you up this morning to view one of the most beautiful sunrises in the Sahara, followed by breakfast and a camel ride. After that, we'll go to Rissani to see the local market. We'll travel to Tinghir, which was once considered the Moroccan Jewish capital. We proceed on a short climb to Todra Gorge after exploring the beautiful Valley of Todra. We'll continue to Dades Valley, where you'll spend the night in a kasbah and be served dinner.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

We'll leave after breakfast and go along the route of a thousand kasbahs to Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazate. The first stop will be in Kelaat Mgouna, where there is an annual festival in May. Then proceed to Ouarzazate, Morocco's "HolyWood," where several famous films, including Gladiator, have been shot. We go to Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's largest and most famous Kasbah. We next travel across the High Atlas Mountains, passing through Berber towns and passing through various scenery. The evening will be spent in Marrakech.

Day 7: Join a native guide for a tour of Marrakech's medina.

Today, we see the sights of Marrakech with a local guide, including the main square and the outside of the Kotobia Mosque, which was erected by the Almoravids in the 12th century. After that, we'll walk to the Saadien's Tombs and you'll see the famed Bahia Palace. We continue our Morocco family vacation by going through the Medina's alleys. The souk's flavor will appeal to you. Then we'll take you to the Majorelle Gardens, where you'll also see the Menara Gardens. The family's trip to Morocco has come to an end.
